If you have an iPhone, you may want to control your Loxone home with Siri or in Apple’s Home app. To be upfront: MFM Voice only connects your Miniserver to Amazon Alexa, not to Siri and not to Apple Home. There are, however, two routes that may suit you.

## Route 1: Siri and Apple Home via Matter

Apple Home can include devices that use the Matter standard, among them bridges, lights, blinds and thermostats. Loxone introduced Matter in September 2023 as an experimental feature and explicitly offered no support for it at the time. Whether and how far the Miniserver appears in Apple Home via Matter today is stated by the manufacturer in its release notes. Check the current status before you plan this route.

## Route 2: a bridge that supports Apple Home

A hardware bridge is an extra device on your network that connects Loxone to other systems. According to the provider, the “1Home Server Loxone”, for example, supports Apple Home among others. Price and details are in the [comparison of all options](https://mfm-voice.com/en/loxone-alexa-comparison).

## Voice control on the iPhone: with the Alexa app

If your main goal is to control your home by voice from your iPhone, you can do that without Siri. The Alexa app is available for iPhone. With MFM Voice you then talk to your Miniserver through Alexa, in the app or via an Echo device: lights, blinds, room temperature, lighting moods and energy values. You do not need an extra device. More in the guide [Voice control for Loxone](https://mfm-voice.com/en/guides/voice-control-for-loxone).

The MFM Voice skill currently only works with an amazon.de account and Alexa set to German.

## What suits you?

- You definitely want Siri and the Home app: Matter or a bridge with Apple Home support.
- You want voice control without tinkering and without another device: Alexa with MFM Voice, also on the iPhone.
- You use both: the routes do not exclude each other. Only share each device where you really want to control it.
