With MFM Voice, you use Alexa to switch the lights on your Loxone Miniserver on and off, dim them to a percentage and call up light moods as scenes. You cannot set the colour of an individual lamp by voice. Colours are called up through light moods.

The MFM Voice skill currently only works with an amazon.de account and Alexa set to German, so voice commands are shown in German with an English gloss in brackets.

## Switch: on and off

The “Schalter” (switch) block responds to two voice commands: on and off. This also applies to sockets.

- “Alexa, schalte das Wohnzimmerlicht ein.” (Switch on the living room light.)
- “Alexa, schalte die Steckdose Terrasse ein.” (Switch on the terrace socket.)

## Dimmer: brightness as a percentage

You can switch a dimmer on and off and also set its brightness as a percentage.

- “Alexa, dimme die Küche auf 30 Prozent.” (Dim the kitchen to 30 per cent.)

## Lighting controller: each circuit is a separate device

You can switch the lighting controller on and off by voice. Its individual circuits appear as separate devices. You share and name each circuit individually.

This has a practical advantage: you only share the circuits you actually want to switch by voice. Give each one a name that is easy to say, for example “Esstisch” (dining table) or “Arbeitsplatte” (worktop).

## Light moods as scenes

The light moods from Loxone appear automatically as scenes. You call up a mood by its name:

- “Alexa, aktiviere Abendessen.” (Activate dinner.)
- “Alexa, aktiviere Kino.” (Activate cinema.)

## Colours through moods

The colour of an individual lamp cannot be set by voice. If you want the light in a particular colour, save that colour in a light mood. You then call up the mood by voice.

## Groups: “Alexa, Licht an.”

In the Alexa app, assign the devices and the Echo device to the same group, for example “Wohnzimmer” (living room). In that room, all you then need to say is: “Alexa, Licht an.” (Light on.)

The central lighting control in Loxone cannot be operated by voice with MFM Voice. For “Alle Lichter aus” (All lights off), use a group in the Alexa app instead.

## Names and changes

MFM Voice takes rooms and devices from the Miniserver and suggests a voice name for each device, based on the room and device name. You can change any name in MFM Voice. Your Loxone configuration stays unchanged.

After every change, say: “Alexa, suche nach neuen Geräten.” (Search for new devices.) This applies after renaming as well as after adding or removing devices.

If you have added new lights in Loxone Config, first click “Neu scannen” (Scan again) under “Miniserver” in MFM Voice. Share the new devices, then let Alexa search again.
